Eivor Burbeck, born 1926, in Stockholm, was a Swedish filmmaker, poet and writer. She studied humaniora at Stockholm University; her subjects were French, Nordic languages and literary history - and she became interested in the arts early on. She danced for choreographer Birgit Åkesson, wrote poetry and cultural criticism, translated, watched films and studied art. Burbeck traveled a lot, a lot in the company of Lennart Rodhe, to whom she was married during the period 1945-1951. She also often traveled together with Rut Hillarp, as described by Birgitta Holm in her large Hillarp biography.
